Library and Information Office
Introduction
The Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology Library was founded in 1972. Our library which supports teaching, aids the spread of knowledge and the glory of Chinese culture, plays an important role in providing various resources and services to the teachers and students in our college.
Our library belongs to the medical field. Our collection includes in the field of medical technology, nursing, food nutrition, industrial safety and hygiene, cosmetic applications and administration, health care administration and early childhood education. At present, we have more than 220000 books and 178 titles of current periodicals in Chinese and foreign languages, more than 7800 compact discs.
Our library is a seven-floor building, which covers about 5,800 square meters. In addition to book storage, a journal section, reading area, there are areas for information retrieval, reference books, current periodical, back issue periodical, newspaper reading, special book collections, an conference hall and video center in the library. Bright and air-conditioned rooms provide comfortable setting in the library.
In 2014, the Library and the Computer and Network Center, changed its name to "Library and Information office".

Faculty, Staff and Students of Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology is eligible to borrow books.
•Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is a service for users to obtain material not available in the Medical Library and accepts applications to photocopy books and journal articles from other domestic and overseas libraries.
•Photocopy Service
There are 1 photocopy machines are located in the library.
•Reference Consultant Service
Reference librarians are available to answer readers’ questions and provide reference, bibliographic and consultative services to help readers get access to the library’s resources and other computer-based information.
•Information Retrieval Service
Readers can search bibliographic databases, full-text databases and online electronic journals, including airiti Library, Elsevier ScienceDirect, EBSCO Publishing, Gale Health and Medicine, CJTD, Web of Science, JCR, ProQuest , Harvard Business Review, Walking Library, Hyread; and the Index to Chinese Periodical Literature.
•Internet
The library provides computer equipment for readers to connect to the Internet only to search for academic information. Entertainment, BBS, E-mail and personal document editing are not permitted.
